SOHL Golf Tournament Summary

Hi all,
On Saturday, 68 courageous souls braved the cold, almost continuous driving rain and winds gusting to 65 km/hour; this made the golf difficult but didn't dampen the comradery that is synonymous with our league. I forgot to ask in earlier emails but if you have any pictures from Saturday, send them my way!
A number of non (or not current) members joined us (Gerald Brenan, Greg Henuset, Ron Mondor, Rob Mullowney, Shawn O'Flaherty, Brian Powell, Greg Salo, Riley Wrublowsky) as well as Jessie Belot and Erik Niblock who put in a lot of volunteer time bartending for the spring tournament.

If you're a member of our league, you know that Ernie Dyck is a huge Oilers fan - he was sick with the flu last week and was quite upset that he could not participate. I held on to one prize (signed Dustin Penner Oilers Jersey donated by Greg Henuset, see photo) from the random draw and will get it to him as soon as I can.
Next year is the SOHL's 40th anniversary - we will be planning a special golf event (likely overnight) to commemorate - stay tuned for more information!
